Paste code in on the left. It strips the comments and leaves the code on the right — line comments, block comments, and HTML comments, across most common languages. Strings are left alone, so nothing inside quotes gets touched.

Detection is pattern-based, not a full parser — it tracks string quotes (" ' `) so comment-looking text inside strings survives, but very unusual syntax may occasionally slip through. Worth a quick glance at the output before you use it.
